WHAT IS A COMMUNITY GARDEN?

Very simply, it is:
Any piece of land gardened by a group of people.

It can be urban, suburban, or rural. It can grow flowers, vegetables or community. It can be one community plot, or can be many individual plots. It can be at a school, hospital, or in a neighborhood. It can also be a series of plots dedicated to "urban agriculture".

How you can help

What you can do get digging!

  • Help spread the word  by signing our petition for the Pasadena City Council
  • Volunteer  to canvass neighborhoods, collect signatures of support at farmers’ markets
  • Donate  money, materials

Join the dream come grow with us!
Although we’re eager for you to join — to have your own garden plot — membership opportunities will not be available until we secure a garden site. However, a membership priority will be offered to all who help us make Pasadena Community Gardens a reality.

We are grateful for your interest and look forward to meeting you.

Gratefully Yours,

The Pasadena Community Gardens steering committee
